Can Noni Juice be used to cure Diabetics?

Noni juice is a dramatic food. Someone says it can be used in the treatment of diabetics. Is it true? Is there any journal or research published?

“There is no doubt that Noni is an amazing food with great amount of antioxidants and other health benefits. Unfortunately many of the health benefits that are associated with Noni are not medically proven and approved by the authorities. After going through your query I have made some search about if there is any link between Noni juice and diabetes, but all the articles state that there is no medical evidence that Noni juice can be used for diabetes treatment and even FDA has issued a letter to a retailer who claimed about its Noni juice that it is good for diabetes. Such claims are mostly made by the manufacturers, sellers, suppliers and distributors of the Noni juice. You need to put some extra effort to search the exact product which can server you better to cure your diseases, you follow any product blindly by reading what is written on their label. Thanks”

I'm not sure about that, but my dad started drinking it and he's diabetic. His monthly check-up doesn't indicate any improvement whatsoever so I'm not convinced. Plus I think I read a few months back that the folks who peddle this product got in trouble cuz they were selling it as a pyramid scheme so you may wanna google that.

No objective proof of any efficacy in diabetes. It is only a food not medicine.

A far more effective treatment (for type 2 diabetics) is a healthy diet and weight management routine, with plenty of exercise, and a handful of supplements…. I've outlined more here:

Diabetes, both Type I and II remains a mystery to the medical community. There does not seem to be one single cause. Insulin resistance may occur because the insulin can’t link with the receptors on the surface of the cells or something has gone wrong in the chemical reaction at the time of linking that doesn’t allow the body to properly use the sugar in the blood, thus creating high blood sugar and symptoms if diabetes.

There is strong data that make a strong case that Noni juice acts as an adaptogen, or simple said, acts to normalize and aid “sick” cells improving the overall performance of the body’s cell corresponding to the tissue or organ.

This could be shown that the bio-chemicals in Noni juice helps malfunctioning beta cells that aren’t producing enough insulin or counterfeit insulin that is basically worthless. Also, Noni may aid cells that are unsuccessfully trying to receive the glucose in the blood due to their inability to accept the insulin at its appropriate receptor site.

Noni juice is low in sugar if you drink it in the pure form. Since the taste is unpleasant to some people, many companies add other juice flavors and increase the sugar content.

I found the Tru Noni juice from Hawaii to be the best in both quality and price.
